Ms. Smith has served in the field of special education for more than 15 years. During her tenure as an educator, she has held positions as a Teacher, Counselor, Educational Evaluator and Principal. She has experience in IEP (Individualized Education Program) writing and implementation and site placement. Ms. Smith advocates for students with special needs and ensures that compliance is adhered to by all special education personnel. She collaborates with school staff to support and resolve problems that impede learning. Ms. Smith assists teachers in identifying teaching techniques and behavioral interventions that are best suited for the students she advocates for. She also monitors both the placement of students with disabilities in public and non public settings and their resulting transportation.
